Biography
Hari Chon is a program analyst for the U.S. Department of Labor Women’s Bureau, where she manages stakeholder engagement on a variety of issues such as workforce development, gender equity initiatives, and designs regional outreach and educational programs based on local labor market trends. Her primary focus areas include paid leave, elder care, and emerging labor market issues.
Recently, Hari completed a detail assignment at the White House as a Policy Advisor on Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Affairs and supported the Office of Chief of Staff.
Before joining the federal service, Hari was a business specialist for the Washington State Department of Health and Social Services where she worked to increase employment opportunities for people with all abilities. Prior to that, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Albania from 2010–2012.
Hari holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington.
