Biography

Karen Lawton graduated from the University of Washington and started her previous career in tech for 3 years before realizing she wanted to work on something tangible. Karen took a pre-apprenticeship at ANEW and fell in love with carpentry. She started with her current company Turner Construction as an apprentice, journeyed out, became an estimator/BIM modeler, engineer, and now superintendent. She has been in the trades 10 years this year and is currently working at the Seattle Aquarium.
